Our integrated care model brings together mental, emotional, and physical wellness—so first responders aren’t just surviving, they’re operating at their best.
This is what first responder mental health should look like.
Not surface-level support. Real care. The kind that changes lives and strengthens departments.
Our team of POST-approved, board-certified psychologists has each conducted over 20,000 public safety evaluations, with a focus on law enforcement and fire service personnel. We specialize in high-stakes assessments that are legally defensible, procedurally sound, and culturally informed.
We provide pre-employment, fitness-for-duty, and return-to-work evaluations that adhere to POST guidelines, ADA and FEHA considerations, and relevant case law. Our reports are timely, comprehensive, and crafted to withstand legal and administrative scrutiny—while honoring the operational realities of first responder work.
Our team responds rapidly to traumatic events with culturally fluent care that first responders trust. We provide on-site or virtual critical incident stress debriefings (CISDs), one-on-one trauma counseling, and follow-up services designed to prevent long-term psychological injury.
We don’t just show up—we stay involved. Our licensed specialists, including board-certified experts in police and public safety psychology, are highly experienced in trauma recovery. We assist clients in navigating time off duty when clinically appropriate, and provide informed recommendations to support their well-being and protect their careers.
When it’s time to return, we offer clear, individualized guidance for a gradual or seamless transition back to full and unrestricted duty—always aligned with the demands of the job.
Whether your agency is facing a line-of-duty death, use-of-force event, pediatric fatality, or other high-impact call, we’re here to provide the care your team deserves.
Many people benefit from the support of others
We provide both individual and group therapy for first responders and their families, delivered by culturally competent clinicians who specialize in trauma, operational stress, and relationship strain. Whether you're facing PTSD, anxiety, burnout, or substance use, our team brings advanced training and real-world understanding of public safety culture.
Our staff includes board-certified psychologists and nationally recognized trauma experts—several of whom train other clinicians in EMDR and evidence-based treatments.
Services include CBT, EMDR, ART, DBT, and sleep therapy, along with couples counseling and emotional regulation work.
Group offerings include PTSD recovery, a 6-week nightmare treatment group led by sleep specialists, addiction and recovery, anger and stress management, mindfulness, and support for partners of first responders.
Sessions meet weekly and are available in-person or virtually. We’ll help you find the right fit.We don’t just train peer teams—we helped build the blueprint. Our team created the original Regional Peer Support model, bringing together multiple agencies in Southern California to form one of the most effective mutual-aid peer networks in the country.
Since then, we’ve trained and consulted with clinicians and departments nationwide to help them replicate this model—raising the bar for what peer support can and should look like.
We offer:
-
Customized peer support training (basic, advanced, and clinician-led)
-
Team consultation and program development
-
Peer team oversight and mentorship
-
Post-incident response and debriefing support
-
Train-the-trainer programs for clinical and peer leaders.
Our approach is culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and focused on sustainability. We don’t create checkbox teams—we help build elite responder-driven peer support programs that agencies can trust.
-
We partner directly with public safety agencies to design, enhance, and sustain comprehensive wellness programs that serve the entire department—not just the individual.
Our consultation services are led by psychological experts with decades of experience advising law enforcement, fire service, and EMS leadership. Whether your agency is building a peer support team, expanding its wellness initiatives, or navigating high-risk personnel issues, we provide culturally competent, operationally grounded guidance.
We assist with:
-
Strategic wellness program development
-
Peer support team design, training, and oversight
-
Post-critical incident response planning
-
Department-wide mental health education
-
Consultation on complex personnel matters
-
Return-to-duty and reintegration strategies
-
Clinician mentorship for embedded or contracted providers
We understand the operational demands, political realities, and internal culture of public safety work. Our goal is to help your agency strengthen its wellness infrastructure—while protecting the people behind the badge.
-
This is not group therapy in a beige room. It’s an immersive, hands-on healing experience that blends evidence-based trauma therapy with full-body nervous system restoration.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in survival mode, you are not alone. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed for first responders and trauma survivors navigating the effects of chronic stress, PTSD, or emotional exhaustion.
Here, healing is collaborative, compassionate, and customized. Our trauma-informed clinicians and wellness professionals walk beside you as you recover—emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
As trauma experts, we understand the mind-body connection. Our biopsychosocial teamwork approach to treatment includes peer support, physiological experiences and exercise, in addition to psychotherapy.
