Meet Dr. Gina Gallivan
Board-Certified Police & Public Safety Psychologist
Trusted Partner to Over 100 Agencies in California For over two decades, Dr. Gina Gallivan has been a leading force in the field of police and public safety psychology.
As a board-certified psychologist, she has partnered with more than 100 law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical agencies across California to deliver culturally competent mental health services tailored to first responders.
Her work is rooted in a mission to protect the protectors. From trauma counseling and critical incident support to peer team development and proactive wellness strategies, Dr. Gallivan and her team deliver real-world solutions for the unique stressors first responders face on and off duty.
Dr. Gallivan began her career with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, where she completed both her pre-doctoral internship and post-doctoral fellowship in law enforcement psychology. She has since built a team of highly trained and culturally attuned clinicians who specialize in trauma-informed care, peer support, and resilience-building interventions. At the heart of their work is one unshakable belief: Those who serve deserve exceptional care.
Their mission is to help first responders heal, reset, and thrive—because when they are well, entire communities are safer.

Our Approach
At Help for Fire and Help for Police, our mission is rooted in the belief that those who protect us deserve protection themselves. Through the Protect Wellness program—developed by CCFM—we address the growing crisis of unacknowledged trauma and health decline among first responders. Firefighters and law enforcement officers face relentless physical and emotional demands, leaving them at significantly higher risk for PTSD, depression, anxiety, sleep disorders, cancer, and heart disease.
