Kathryn Saldana, Ph.D.
Dr. Saldana training is in both medical and clinical mental health settings where she has gained an expertise in working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, sleep concerns and insomnia, chronic pain and other chronic illness adjustment difficulties. She also has a passion for working with mothers and women who are pregnant or postpartum and are looking for support through these critical life stages.
When working with clients, she focuses on creating a safe and accepting space, that fosters a supportive relationship and lays the foundation for self-exploration. Her approach incorporates elements of supportive talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and other evidence-based approaches.
Dr. Saldana believes in the power and courage in acceptance – that you will go through challenging periods of your life, and that sometimes you have to choose the difficult path to get to the life you really want. She’ll assist you in learning these ways of thinking, as well as the skills to challenge patterns of behavior that no longer serve you.
